Alone
by:
Edwin Leibfreed
Nay, not tired; lonely!
Through the years
Nothing cheers.
There are sorrows only.
Say not, I should bear it.
Courage flies
From the eyes,
When love sees death wear it.
Say'st thou, too, "I'm lonely?"
Bide with me.
Tenderly
I will love thee only.
